I could never have been despised more than ever! in France! Not biased and yes, we all know that French are very country proud, but the lack of a simple English speaking is totally overestimated! I was very arrogant when registering a rather unfriendly atmospheric receptionist who made it quite clear that she did not enjoy her job. The rooms look good, but that's it. The highlight is Essen,hahahahaha! At 18:30 a.m., which seems to me a perfect dinner time, nobody was 1. at the restaurant 2. at the bar ... I talk about employees, not guests! I had lunch today when we had to be in the castle. Gazpacho very well served in an original way. Shrimp starters also beautiful with their crisp minscule cubes of vegetables, but two shrimps may be on the 'minimal' or stingy side. Steamed Seabass Filet delicious and not boiled; with a lemongrassy? sauce. fillet of piglets beautiful with grilled red peppers; was pure on the cold side. deserts here are all very good as they are kept relatively light; only the little more 'air' then creamy severity and no are too sweet what is beautiful.
