The Chatter Box Of Long Grove

Super cute place and the menu caught our eye when picking it for lunch. However, the food was not that great. The tomato, basil, mozzarella flat bread had zero basil and had a very thick layer of shredded cheese that was not really melted, and one garlic clove on each small slice of tomato. It was terrible. We complained and got 10% off our bill. The steak on the kabobs was tough. The veggies were perfect. The bacon wrapped dates were awesome!

There were 8 ladies who went to lunch together this month. The restaurant refused to give us separate checks and refused to make a reservation for us. Usually there are 10-12 of us and we have never had that problem at any other restaurant. Fortunately one of my friends loaned me the cash to pay my portion of the bill. I'll never go back there again. I think it totally irresponsible that would happen without notification prior to our arrival.

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time after a friend recommended it to us. The atmosphere was casual, the staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. There was a great variety of food choices, and everything we ordered was delicious. We had no complaints at our table, only compliments. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I love coming here and the service is always amazing, unfortunately both of us got food poisoning from their nachos, this is the first this has ever happened to us with chatter box nachos not sure if it was a bad batch but will definitely be reaching out to see what happened
