Traditional oldie world pub serving some very good food. Lovely menu, but you need to book. Dont expect to turn up for a late meal as they shut at ten, but well worth the visit to eat. Tried the whole time to get the landlord to smile, but definitely mission impossible. See how you do when you visit. It's a must

Lovely country pub and food was fantastic. Would highly recommend the cheesy garlic mushrooms starter and belly pork main with black pudding.

the menu here is great, but eating itself is excellent. the portion size is perfect and the staff is friendly. a visit

Outstandingly good beer. Perfect after a strenuous run or hike in the peaks.
