Coffee Republic - Reservar uma mesa

I used to use this coffee shop regularly. But hadn’t been there for over a year and it now has different staff and manager. The toilet is directly off the restaurant and utterly vile and filthy and clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The cafe was also dirty and there was food all over the floor under tables that were sticky. The cafe wasn’t busy yet the staff members sat talking at a table whilst the cafe remained dirty and unkempt. The younger staff member had black painted nails that were at least an inch long. Very unhygienic and I thought not regulation with food prepping. Won’t be going back.

I had little more than thirty minutes to spare for a quick bite during a court case in Chatham. Coffee Republic offering a wide choice of toasted sandwiches and baps in a large airy and clean environment seemed to fit the bill. As it turned out I didn’t even have to wait for a sandwich to be toasted as a brie and cranberry bap was available for immediate consumption. An accompanying double espresso was a bit lacking in froth but the bap was excellent.

After breaking my foot, this was my first outing with friends. However, I couldn't walk around shops because my crutches were hurting my arms. So, I quickly popped into Coffee Republic for a cappuccino and a delicious cake. The staff were friendly and brought my coffee and cake to my table. The atmosphere was calming as people chatted over their coffee, and the aromas were welcoming. I have been here many times and hope to continue to do so.

One guy serving and other staff out back. There is always a queue in this branch but this long on a Saturday morning? Peak time surely. I won’t be coming back. Also the milk is help yourself in jugs on the side for everyone to touch not ideal in the midst of a pandemic!

The franchisee should be ashamed of him Or herself, what a dirty untidy place, there was not one table you could sit at, their excuse was, “we have been busy” been busy chatting me thinks.
