Deacon's House Coffee

Very friendly staff and delicious food. Everything we ordered was excellent! Rather busy but with good reason: I would definitely recommend this place. FYI: the toilet is outdoors and can only be accessed with a pin code. This makes sure that only guests use the toilet; so ask the waiter for the code :

this caffe has the best scenes, marmelade, devonshire cream and tee to unbelievably cheap preisen. the shortbread is amazing! I wish we had such places in the states. Once we discovered this caffe, we were here every afternoon. it is very close to the burg. it is a wonderful place to relax. not true!

Deacon's House Cafe is welcoming and proved a lovely spot to pause for a cuppa while sightseeing on the Royal Mile. Seating is available in the courtyard as well as inside the cafe. Artwork around the walls of the cafe conveys the life story of Deacon Brodie, a cabinetmaker and thief.

I had a very nice porridge and a green tee this morning. the staff was very friendly and left me in 5 minutes early because it snowed. I think I'll be back. this place seems to be popular and tables within 30 minutes of it to fill opening. go so early.

Incredibly cozy little place, with an absolutely delicious scone with jam and cream. Accommodating staff helping us get exactly what we wanted well past reasonable time to fix our orders.
