Another example of trying to have the kitchen crew pull the whole weight. Good, solid, competent work in the kitchen but it is ruined by poor judgment and an embarrassing lack of skills at the front of house. Calling itself a wine restaurant, it is utterly astounding and hard to comprehend that they would take a wine order and then just bring a different wine and not knowing why they did. When called out, the waitress had to go back and ask and then came back, relieved, because “my colleague brought this wine because the other one was out”. It was a completely different wine! We often go here as we live nearby. There is always a selection of the day, including soups, fish and seasonal dishes like asparagus and goose. The food is very tasty, always fresh and the salads in particular, are excellent. The restaurant is a converted barn with wooden beams and is decorated in a rustic style. The decor is welcoming and attractive with an open fire in winter. It is a wine restaurant with an extensive and excellent wine selection. The waiters are friendly and the service is good. We have never been disappointed nor had a bad meal here, so we very much recomend it.

The Fledermaus or the Bat is such a cozy yet professional place to enjoy the night after a long week. They offered great advise to match my taste buds just perfectly. Never seen such a variety of old and new world wine. We enjoyed the selection of Chardonnays just as much as the bottle of Shiraz we had later that night. Thank you guys again for a great service and a 3 course meal out of this world! We will be back with friends.

Dined there with 3 more people. We ordered 2 Angus Rumpsteaks and 1 Angus Rinderfilet each with Kartoffelgratin and Pfannengemüse, and 1 Lammhüfte with Ratatouille and Kräuterkartoffeln. Absolutely delicious. All of it. price in the end with drinks was over 100€. You can find cheaper places for sure, but here you pay for quality and a very charming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect dinner in an outstanding location. We loved the expertise of the sommelier that offered us some amazing German Riesling. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Will definitely come again when back in Germany! Thumbs up!
