Duffy's Tavern Grill

One of the best places in town! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the portions are not only huge, but great quality as well. You know how other places give you these frozen clam strips with a wafer thin sliver of meat in them? Not here! Big thick pieces of hand battered clams, where the breading is thin enough that it has a nice crunch, but isn't the main thing you're eating. The drinks are great. The chowder is great. Everything is great, just go.

There was a group of 33 of us. The lobsters we're delicious, and the New England clam soup was too. Dinner came with a baked potato and sweet corn on a cob. They did an excellent job, and topped it off with a scrumptious dessert, which was a brownie with vanilla ice cream on top, drizzled with chocolate syrup and a glob of whipped cream!!

If you are looking for a good real food meal in a fairly touristy town, Duffy's is a great choice. I had the hot turkey. Comfort food at its best.
