Frank's Trattoria - Reservar uma mesa

I like Frank's. It's not the best pizza or food in the city but it's good enough and it's a throwback Italian place, especially for Manhattan. I think the food is better than the pizza, but the pizza isn't bad by any means. Most Italian places in Manhattan are either over the top expensive or glorified pizza shops, but behind the the front pizza area, the back dining room of Frank's takes you back (reminded me of Italian restaurants I went to growing up in Queens) and the prices are affordable (for Manhattan). The owner is always there taking care of the business and the staff is friendly and attentive. I recommend it for a low-key but solid Italian restaurant in the area.

Frank’s is some place I have ordered for a long time and it seems that as the years have gone on their customer service is less professional and their food portions are smaller. I called to have an order delivered to me. From the start of the conversation the gentleman who picked up the phone had an attitude. As he was about to hang up after placing my order I asked if he could charge my credit card. The gentleman said “Oh my god this is only $12”. How unprofessional! This is a place of business I have supported for years. Not anymore! My $12 and I will go elsewhere.

Old school Italian as it gets.Pizza joint in the front with excellent pizza. Small old-school, simple 1950s style restaurant in the back serving typical Italian dishes at at reasonable prices.I used them for catering a party of 30 with large delivered trays of hot dishes and it went very well .I would say your money goes a long way at Frank’s with excellent quality and generous portions.

Authentic Italian food. I had the Veal Parmigiano with a salad instead of pasta. Huge portion. It would be a good dish to share if you aren't super hungry. Italian bread is also delicious
