Handel's Homemade Ice Cream Yogurt

This is obviously a staple ice cream spot in town. You can tell when you pull up and the lines are 20-30 people deep. We stopped by after dinner and let me tell you, once we saw the line, I was hesitant to wait. Ha. But we did and sure enough, it flew by. The people here know exactly what they're doing! They hustle and work efficiently. There were about 20 people in front of us and it took maybe 10 min to get to the front. They have 4-5 windows open and the orders just fly. There are tons of flavors to choose from so I would suggest having someone take a photo of the flavors so you can share with your group in line so they know exactly what they want once they get to the front. I am thoroughly impressed with the delicious, homemade ice cream at Handel's Redondo, but what stands out even more is their exceptional service for families. My son has a peanut allergy, and for the first time, I felt confident that he could enjoy a treat alongside the rest of our family. We greatly appreciate how they label and store all nut-containing ice cream separately, and use dedicated scoopers and blenders to prevent cross-contamination. Thank you for showing that you care about the safety of kids with allergies, allowing them to enjoy treats worry-free! I’ve heard that the line is always worth the wait, and now I understand why. P.S. My son loved his massive 44 oz. Monster Shake!

In 2006, National Geographic named Handel 's the #1 Ice Cream in its '10 Best of Everything ' book, and that honor is right on target. Some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten EVER. The flavors ate insanely good... the 'Birthday Cake ' ice cream blew my mind the Banana and the Coconut 'Cream Pie ' are amazing as well. Actually, there is not a flavor I have tried here that was not just fantastic. I suggest the 4 Scoop Sampler deal the best way to try a variety of flavors. The only down side of Handel 's is it 's popularity be prepared to stand in line but it is so worth waiting in line for.

Creamy, rich, and freshly made—just how great ice cream should be! They offer a plethora of flavors, making the selection quite overwhelming. I eventually opted for the praline pecan, and it was so freshly made that it wasn't quite firm enough to hold its shape in a cone, so I had it in a cup with a cone placed upside down on top. It was sweet, creamy, and packed with generous chunks of pecans—absolutely delicious! Although there were long lines, the wait was definitely worth it! I have been to this place 2 times. It is always crowded but they have 4 sales windows so things move fast. Almost too fast for me to choose a flavor from their huge list. I usually pressure out and order Mint Chocolate Chip. Two scoops of that and I am a happy person. The ice cream is very cold and dense which means quality. The flavors are rich. The prices are reasonable. I paid 5 dollars for my 2 scoops and was very satisfied.

Literally can't give more than five stars but I wish I could! Handel's ice cream not only has delicious ice cream that tastes like it's made fresh daily but the staff is always very friendly and willing to give recommendations on your favorite flavors or what you may like! I've ordered delivery as well and it never disappoints. Highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake and Oreo dough!

The ice cream here is fantastic! On Tuesdays, they have a deal where you can get two scoops for the price of one (or half if you're dining solo). A large single scoop costs $3.50, and they make their own ice cream daily, offering nearly 40 different flavors on their menu.
