Out of the somewhat limited options in Gladstone, Happy's is a good one. This bar has a laid back atmosphere, a selection of taps, and a decent menu. Every time I have visited, there have been abundance of friendly servers. Sometimes they get to chatting and are slow to bring the food or the check. Not a big deal. The food is good I've had the veg burger, the fish sandwich, and the mac and cheese. Nothing that will make you want to write home, but totally edible chow to go with your beer. Speaking of beer, they've got around 10 taps with some being national brands, so not a ton of options, but enough. They've got lots of TVs to watch sports. Happy's made us sad. The quality of the food is sub par as well as the service. Everyone seemed nice but our server was more interested in hanging out with the other employees. The place is clean but the decor and style don't really make sense. The bad reviews are spot on and the good ones seem fake. A restuarant with nothing but Sysco food just isnt going to make it. You have to have something that is fresh. We tried the fries three different and they were covered in salt. The only thing that will save this place from closing is a real cook.
