Historische Wurstküche

I thought that was a total tourist trap and was pleasantly surprised. At the time there was a down-to-earth restaurant that was roped off in front of the small building next to the river, but we just went to the walk-up counter because we were in a hurry. Choose two bratwurst sandwiches and probably could have eaten two more because they were so good. They were perfectly prepared with two small sausages, sauerkraut and mustard in a slightly crispy bungalow. Nothing scattering earth, just well done and just what you want, and if I lived here, I'd probably catch it all the time.

Perhaps the oldest restaurant in the world. Located on the banks of the Danube on the picturesque old bridge, this kitchen claims to be the oldest restaurant in the world. The restaurant is quite famous and is therefore often quite busy so that the visit during peak hours can see queues. As the name says, the restaurant specialises in sausage.

Absolutely delicious sausages. Traditional with sweet mustard, sauerkraut and kipferl. In normal times you can eat your food on beer tables right in front of the restaurant. In Corona times there is food as takeaway. Great thing and absolutely recommended.

Good compliance with Corona rules: After each guest the table is disinfected. The tables are far apart. The food is delicious and inexpensive, especially recommended is fried from the grill.

Very nice restaurant. Right on the Danube. You can sit inside and outside. The sausages with sauerkraut taste superlecker. Operation very friendly. Ambience very beautiful.
