I will begin by saying that apon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and attentive staff and we were given a nice table by the window. We ordered our apps which were a eggplant parm and my husband had the fried artichoke. The artichoke was ok, somewhat tasteless, my eggplant was very good but I would have liked a little larger piece. We then had a glass of wine each which was very good but I am sure it was only 2oz the waiter poured. For the price they charge they could of been a little more generous. The mains were a pheasant dish which my husband had which he liked very much. I had the gnocci which I was told were as light as a cloud, while being good they were very average. I have...

Hostaria is our favourite restaurant in Little Italy. We go there for lunch when we shop at Milano. Their 2 course lunch special for $25, including cappuccino is reasonably priced and the food always excellent. The Galletto alla Diavola (spicy cornish hen) and Coniglio in Potacchio (roasted rabbit with black olives and white wine) are especially good! The interesting wine list offers lots of private imports, but at 3 times the retail price it is expensive. But you can always opt for a generous glass of Nero d'Avola for $10. Desserts are also very good. Their zeppole served with a delicious amarena cherry on top, a traditional pastry consumed during the Festa di San Giuseppe (celebrated every...

This restaurant in Little Italy was a recommendation and we can honestly say it was some of the best Italian food we had in a long time, real authentic classic goodies.Delicately fried fresh artichokes, stuffed calamari, suckling pig and tagliatelli with lamb ragu and fresh artichokes. Yumme! Portions were very good (we even asked for a doggy bag for the suckling pig leftovers - no way we were going to leave this behind) . Dessert was a shared lemon pie, also close to perfection. Wine was a very interesting organic selection thanks to Andreas' expert advice. And service was really good. Hostaria is definitely on our top restaurant list.

Where to start? You have a choice of eating inside or on the terrace.Don't worry about parking, treat yourself to valet parking.Amazing italian cuisine. Unparalleled service. One friend, who is not easy to please, was not happy about the Vitello tonnato. The Maitre D offered to bring him some other choice. Politeness, smile. When we ordered wine ( they have an extensive selection) we asked the waiter for some suggestions. After asking us about our likes , dislikes, our dishes, and the price range we were looking at, he made a selection...and it as not the most expensive one. That is class. Reserve uma mesa agora

My drinks here have always been wonderful. Staff is attentive and professional. The menu is limited, so don't expect 13 varieties of pasta. Also, a few of the choices are less conventional (suckling pig, pheasant etc...)My last time I had pheasant and it had clearly been prepared a while back and unfortunately got dried out between then and when it was served on my plate.Other than that time, most of my meals here have been delicious.Prices and menu selection won't make this my regular go-to restaurant, but rather keep it on my once a year list.

Small Italian restaurant in a cute neighborhood. The service was excellent. Our waiter was fantastic. Our appetizers were delicious - we had burrata with tomatoes, salad with anchovies and squash blossoms. For entrees we had the veal and a whole snapper. Both were tasty and well prepared. Nice wine selection. The restaurant is modern and comfortable. A little pricey but worth it.

When you arrive and you see Bentley and Mercedes at the door... you understand that you will be eating in a fine restaurant. However, i feel bad to say that we were disapointed. Honestly, the service was charming and attentive to our needs. Disappointed with the food as we still consider Fiorellino the best Italian resto in Mtl.

Had a great meal here on vacation. Andreas took great care of us. They were able to accommodate our daughter's gluten and dairy allergies with a great risotto. Had a very nice dolcetto as well. This will be a must-visit place on our next Montreal visit. Reserve uma mesa agora
