La Grande Déception / The Great DisappointmentThis used to be the best sushi place in Paris, a real “hole-in-the-wall” friendly place with fantastic sushi chef and great food (Comme des Poissons). We have eaten there many times and it was always perfect.It evolved into more “chic” and much more expensive restaurant so we were curious whether the food maintained its standard.Our lunch reservations for 12:15 were cancelled within the minute – we came 10 minutes late which, by Paris standard (with all the traffic and parking problems) is considered a perfect punctuality. The reception was short of rude and instead of the reserved places at the counter we were offered a small table in the corner...

the restaurant's door intrigue and makes you want to discover what's behind. Once inside, head upstairs! The place is exigu, with an obviously very sleek style. you have the possibility to sit in front of the chefs.3 menus are available at night; If you want to get out of the Japanese schema, it's here that's happening!The chef changes the menus every month, trying to work a maximum with seasonal products (e.g., a soup of asparagus when I was present); A beautiful effort!Each dish is very worked, with a subtle mix of flavors and textures. everything is realized in front of your eyes. Vinegar rice and mochi (ssert based on gluant rice paste) are excellent.

I first came to this restaurant as the restaurant eats des poissons de rue from the tour cerro and the chef changes to this one. the place makes you feel at a Japanese restaurant, a very nice atmosphere where you should learn to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and respect your surroundings. the sashimi that I ate was excellent, the tickets very well prepared as the input mass that is not a simple envelope of dust that dissolved in hot water like many others. the restaurant proposes for dinner a kansai menu that I think of dinner next time I come to Paris. the place is not cheap but the quality jotifies the price.

2 steps from elysized fields, a place in pure Japanese tradition. First of all, discretion obliges, no ostentation at the entrance: the solid, simple and majestic wooden door reveals the restaurant only in the spotlight; The inside is sober is cozy, everything is close to the two Japanese chefs - kino (phoennial sushi) and takubo (menu tasting) who are personally involved and it is simply de-li-cieux! from the real, from pure Japanese to betting. We've tried sushi all around Paris over the last nine years and were thrilled when friends took us here for dinner last weekend. We went Friday night and sat at the bar with other guests. Never even saw a menu - the chef made a recommendation (in French via my husband) and we just ate dish after dish of amazing fish. Don't put ginger on your fish - it's an insult to the wonderful chef! Highly recommend, Price reasonable, atmosphere lovely.

the chef's Omakase are a work of art ! you will not find such quality anywhere else in Paris for your sushi or any other Japanese meal. this small restaurant is probably the best truly Japanese restaurant in Paris! the gracious Japanese room can accomodate 6 to 8 persons and the bar 10 people, so it is very convenient for small parties with friend and food lovers! highky recommended!!!

only two menus are available in the evening, in omakase. We were 4 and therefore took twice the two menus to taste everything. the presentation of each dish is neat and the very delicate flavors. the wine map, though short, contain real treasures. visit the restaurant website because a third menu is available, but only by ordering it to the reservation.

The best sushi chef in Paris paired with another great chef (Michelin) has opened this new restaurant. Quality of food and service fantastic. Decor, choice of tableware impeccable. Not cheap but worth every cent. Equals the best in Tokyo and Kyoto. Reserve uma mesa agora

a real Japanese restaurant in betting, frequented by Japanese and it is not by chance: preparation, taste etc. It's almost like the land of the rising sun, but it's not given.
