La Porta - Reservar uma mesa

Always heard how good this place was so I was excited to try it. My appetizer, the mushroom soup, was pretty amazing.But I have to say honestly I was underwhelmed by my entree....the blackened red snapper. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't hot. It must've sat for 10-15 minutes before it was brought out. The waitress apologized several times for things taking long. Of course things happen, I get that. Like I said...my entree was good... not great, so imagine my surprise when I saw it was $35!! (It was a special so not on the menu All in all I would say it was NOT worth the price. I didn't complain about it being served warm because, well I hate being a Kevin/Karen.So to sum up......

great charming atmosphere with live music (on Saturday evening.) eating is rich and decadent. we had the meat lamb dinner and the short rib pasta. it was our first time here and I would say we liked it, but not as a regular stop for us. eating was a bit too rich.

Historic place with ambience and excellent food. Prices are incredibly high $9 for a meatball, $17 for a pizza but enjoyed the experience. Good service. Not sure I’d come back.

One of our favorite restaurants in Media. We've never had a bad meal here in all the years we've been coming. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, the meat was amazing, the place was beautiful, the only criticism was that it was cold inside.
