My partner and I arrived at Poule au Pot no more than a minute or two late for a 9:00 p.m. reservation that had been made through the restaurant 's online reservation system almost a month in advance. Upon arriving and greeting the host and mentioning our reservation in French, Thomas , responded to us in English that he did not have a reservation for us. Hesitated after reading some negative reviews. Went in at 12:00 first in restaurant. Staff accommodating and polite. Nice atmosphere. Took the 60 Euro menu for 2 and bottle of wine . Onion soup flavorful. Escargot nice and garlicky . Good bread . Hachis is shredded brisket with mash potatoes also good. The quenelles good different . Nice big fresh leafy salad. Profiteroles good although shells a little tough . French cuisine is quality ingredients cuisined by a qualified chef who doesn’t take shortcuts . This what we have here.
