Our experience was top notch. It's not often that you see the owner walking from table to table to meet, great, and insure a good dining experience with every table. The restaurant was clean, orderly, and every staff member seemed happy. The warm savory salsa that starts your meal was perfectly blended and spiced. Our meals were a comfortable blend of mom's cooking and something new. With unexpected flavors at all the right times. I had the 4 enchilada meal which has beef, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole in each. Giving me a new flavor with each new enchilada. We live a fully nomadic lifestyle working so we eat in different states weekly or monthly. Next time we are coming through New Mexi...

I would rate la salita higher, but happy cow will not allow it, as it is not a full restaurant. some of the best new Mexican food in nm, let alone vegan food in nm. they offer a separate vegan menu with vegan cheese. their filled sopapillas with impossible meat and roasted beans are amazing. they have really good avocado rellenos are super good as their enchiladas. afteros are a bit meh. their sides are also amazing. reispapapas are my target. their sopapillas are a necessity when they go and are only 25 cent per. even their chips and salsa before their meal are stupid good. always great service also here. updated by previous review on 2020-08-04

my expectations, based on previous reviews, were not fulfilled. the impossible enchiladas were tasteless. the red and green salsas had no heat. the papas lubricated as frozen potato cubes. they have neither a separate Veg menu nor give them chips and salsa with takeaway orders as previously reported. but the chili relleno was worth dying. the sopapilla was fluffy and soft. the vegan chocolate cake was excellent. the personal was super nice.

A separate vegan menu to order from made it easy to decide. We pretty much ordered one of everything and it was super tasty. The waitstaff was very friendly and double checked that I ordered vegan cheese because I just started calling it cheese lately. The items that had vegan cheese were loaded with it, which is good or bad depending on how you look at it, and some menu items are fried. The red and green sauces were also really good. this place was bombed. so good. I have the avocado rellenos that was a first for me. fried green chiles with avocado. the teig is vegan and especially her side. I also have fried beans and rice on the side. they also have vegan desserts, although we did not try. my friend said my vegan meal was way better than his non-vegan meal. also the personal was super nice and accommodating, and everyone seemed to know what vegan meant.

First time trying La Salita and I'm in love!! We ordered the impossible enchiladas, the vegan stuffed peppers and sopapilla and everything came out DELICIOUS. Hands down best Mexican food in Albuquerque. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite and I was so happy that they had vegan options for us! Highly reccomend! (They even have vegan cheesecake!!!

It's great that they have a seperate vegan section on their menu, but all you need to know is to order the Avocado Chile Rellenos (all rellenos are made with an eggless batter and you can request vegan cheese). Absolutely delicious!
