Popped in here for an early dinner during a ski trip and Wow! What a treat!!!Restaurant is cosy with antipasti and salad and cooking area on display. Menus are available as well as specials on a board. My mom wanted traditional bolognese and I went with a pork and risotto special. The food was cooked in our sight and came out quickly. The spaghetti bolognese was delicious and meaty with a unique herb in it that gave it a wonderfully fresh taste. The pork and risotto was a revelation, so good! For desserts we couldn't resist the options on display so ordered a tiramisu to share. Another great choice. We liked this place so much we came back two days later! This restaurant can comfortably sit about 35 people.There is space outside during nice weather.Food is all made to order with an open kitchen (for people who like to watch food being prepared).Pasta is made fresh daily, so you'll see it behind the cooks in little boxes.Cakes are tasty and the coffee is strong.There is not much of a selection on wine (one of my guests only quibbles with the place).It can get loud with a large party, but who goes out to eat in silence anyway?Owner will work with you to set up a set menu or buffet for large parties.You get a little card when you order from the bar (to help you ring up your order at the end), so don't whatever you do lose it.

I enjoyed a mushroom risotto with veal tips here for lunch. 11.80Euro. The veal was cooked perfectly...the only issue was that too much salt was used in this dish.When you walk into La Spelonca the smells takes you away...fresh ingredients cooked right at the counter, it was lovely!Order at the counter, wait to be notified of your meal, pay at counter after you eat.Quaint atmosphere however the tables do not match the benches in size making sitting a bit uncomfortable. I would eat here again.

We were visiting friends in Garmisch and went to La Spelonca for a late dinner. So glad we saved our appetite, the food was outstanding and the staff was very attentive. The owners went out of their way to make our dinner and visit a memorable one. We hope to get back to Garmisch soon and will definitely stop here again. We are from the Philadelphia area and would rate this restaurant as a MUST VISIT. ENJOY. Reserve uma mesa agora

Hi, I visited the place today for lunch. We chose to sat inside but tables are also available outside. The place is small, clean, and looks nice. You order your food and are given a buzzer that lights up when ready. It is prepared in front of you, everything was delicious! The price is reasonable, I would have given it a fifth star if the staff had been a bit more welcoming, a smile always goes a long way!

Great food. Salads are amazing dressing are very local. Member of our group had the gnocchi with eggplant she said had a bit too much cilantro but overall very tasty I had the spaghetti with tomato and olive oil superb! Another member in our group had the spaghetti with meat sauce also said was very good service was a bit odd orders cafe style. Food was prepared in the dining area.

We had a terrific evening at La Spelonca with friends on a recent visit to Garmisch Partenkirchen. Everything was outstanding - the food, service, ambiance!! My husband says their speck was the best he had ever eaten. I particularly enjoyed the Gerstlsuppe. But truly all was wonderful. We can't wait to return here on our next visit to Germany.

This was a great option for an early dinner with kids! We came at 5 on a Sat and had the place to ourselves for a good half an hour. The pasta was fantastic and reasonably priced. Staff was very welcoming. English-ish menu available at the counter where you order. Casual dining but still classy and several steps above fast food. Reserve uma mesa agora

This is the fist time trip advisor failed me. The food was just okay. Salad bar was fine. Frustrated that they charged us 8 euros for tap water. Should not qualify as cheap eats as pasta, salad and water will cost you 17 euros each.

Everything was fresh and went from directly from the grill to the plate! Please try the Antipasto and Spaghetti Carbonara! The service was excellent!
