Obviously there are not many tourists about and this lady did not like the thought of some Brits in her restaurant! All the staff were lovely apart from the lady who I presume was the boss. We were sat by the kitchen, fair enough, we chose to stay and ordered our lunch. They advertise classic Italian fair!! We ordered the bruschetta without the mushrooms, ham and mozzarella as on the menu it looked like classic bruschetta with chopped tomatoes and olive oil. When it came it was tomato sauce on a piece of bread! See photos! The woman was not impressed that we complained and said that it was classic Italian bruschetta!!! Not according to her menu!!! Only eaten at lunchtime where the Midi Formule is fantastic value at 12.20 euros starter, main, cheese, dessert and either wine, cider or lemonade. You get a choice, too. Nobody should have a problem choosing from the a la carte menu either as the selection is varied. Restaurant is always busy, service is polite and prompt. Just check their website for opening hours as they are typically French !!
Drove to Erquy to look for the famous Brittany Pink Houses, which we didn't find, but had an excellent lunch at La Stalla. Had salad buffet for starter, cottage pie and green salad for main, cheeseboard then Pistachio ice cream for desert and 1/4 red wine. All for €12.50 Godd food and great value. Staff tried to help us find the pink houses, but we didn't succeed.
Ate a burger and fries which was really tasteless also a bolognese which was also bland with very little meat. Service was quick but lacked personality. The restaurant was busy so looked positive but am sure you could find something better. Really more like a fast food place.
