L'air de Rien - Reservar uma mesa

We called 20 minutes in advance and they still had a table for us, so after a small walk threw town we made it to their terrase in the quiet little street where they are located. Apetizer was a baby-squid with salad, main dish were kidneys with some steemed vegetables and to end that we had a plate of cheese (brie de meaux, compté 2 yrs, Saint-Nectaire 4months). The whole dinnner was very enjoyable. The waiter (and probably co-owner, I 'm not sure) an excellent host! The wine with the apetier a very nice Montgilet (white, 2012) and with the main course it was a Petite Syrah (Cevennes, 2013). Affordable and nice. My guess is you will not be dissapointed if you book a table here.

Very small restaurant. As you walk in you realise the guy behind the counter is the chef and the space behind the counter is the kitchen! There's only one other staff member. This means, not a place to go for a fast meal! But a wide range of wines by the glass or bottle helped pass the time and the food was excellent when it arrived. If I understand their motto correctly the idea is good local produce (all suppliers listed on a blackboard! presented on your plate with minimal intervention. We'll be back!

Got the restaurant following some friend'suggestion, being honest the food was good, a bit too spices and salt for me. The meat was very well prepared. Two negative points: the wine (that was one of our choise wasn't good and not appropriates for our meal (at least for mine) and the bill, exagerate neverthless the fresh ingredients used.

I had the 3 course menu. My partner the steak frites, Very generous portions. Limited menu but there are also tapas. The baguette was chewy and crisp as it should be. Nice range of wines by the glass or bottle. If we were staying longer, we wouldn't bother to try to find another restaurant in Issoire.
