I booked at short notice as a stopover, because I had read very good reviews (especially for the table). A big detour from the A75, which is worth it if you're out for a walk. The place is isolated and that's charming, it has a history and I like that. The boss put me in a very nice room (upgraded). The lamb sweetbreads with mushrooms as a starter, sublime. The rum baba out, worthy. On the other hand, the piece of Aubrac beef (which should be the centerpiece of the menu)...tough, flavorless and not even pretty to look at. Given the late hour, this may be the last piece left, but in this case, the chef should refrain from serving it. As for the person serving, she can of course chat with her...

While visiting the region, we have discovered this restaurant on the road. It was time for lunch and we decided to stop as it looked well maintained and clean. In this sunny day, the owners kindly proposed us to have lunch outside, below the trees of the terrasse, or inside. Go for the terrasse ; We then enjoyed very much our lunch: freshly cooked local food and a simple but pretty good wine served by very kind persons. The aligot was not fat but tasty on the contrary to other places. The tournedos of local meet was really excellent as well as the ris de veau. An excellent price/quality ratio.

Stayed overnight so eating here was only sensible option. Did not disappoint. Great menu at 29 euros. Excellent steak. Good cheese and wine. Highly recommended.

due to health problems I did not come this year 2023 but I would be happy to return my regards to Mathieu and all the staff
