L'informel - Reservar uma mesa

No english translations on the menu or english speaking staff on hand so we had a bit of a mystery dinner last night. Very good amuse bouche of chicken and vegetable cream soup, followed by starters of soft fried eggs with a light creamy cheese...sauce and I had asparagus with hollandise sauce and smoked fish. Mains were a chunk of bbq pork and in my case a very creative dish of pureed celeriac and potato with a well of stock/jus covered with brown shrimps and some lightly cooked egg. It seemed like a very unusual combination to me but was delicious. We were both getting a bit full by this time but I did manage an unusual coffee which was a spin on an Irish caramel in the bottom of the glass...

Excellente cuisine, courtois hôtesse, aimable accueil, hautement recommandé. There was a warm, friendly atmosphere as we entered L'informel, and a gentle buzz of local people enjoying lunchtime. Our hostess welcomed us with a smile, and very kindly asked whether we would prefer to speak French...or English most courteous! The pace of lunch was relaxed, the choice of dishes good, food very tasty, and service impeccable. One of the most enjoyable lunches I've had, and certainly a high spot on our visit to Dunkerque. Strongly recommended.

we're out of a day. I wanted to see a little bit north of France. in l’informal for a burger stopped as the trip Advisor review had read. the couple that runs the place was super nice. the burgers were huge on fresh rolls and although smart, pretty good. after our meal the nice lady left my 11-year-old a French book as a gift. this pretty little place was great. highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst walking about in Dunkirk and we cannot be happier that we found it. It was absolutely wonderful. The service was friendly (if the tiniest bit inefficient), the flavours of the food were excellent, the portion sizes were generous and...the value for money was fantastic. This place was an absolute gem, and we would recommend it to anyone.

probably and surely the best burgers in dunkirk, fresh products good ingredients. When I ate here, I saw a typical English family and they really have something joyful with French fries and burgers. I hope this note helps the development of this house made...Concept
