Little Ice Cream Soda Shoppe

Sadly, not worth the visit anymore. I brought some out of towners for this Red Deer exclusive experience and we were dismayed that 1. It's still cash only. Invest in Square or Moneris already. 2. The prices are way too high. We ended up getting 2 kids cones only. The 4 adults opted for Dairy Queen or skipping ice cream altogether. And 3. The 5 teenage girls employed here at the time were pushy and rushed us to order, even though there was no one else in line. This small business has been around forever and used to be worth the trip but I'd rather just buy ice cream at the grocery store for better value.

PRICEY to say the least, my one scoop with 2 flavors was over 10 dollars and the waffle cone was soft and not crunchy like they should be. Clearly they are way over priced on there ice cream, even more than DQ. I've been in Red Deer for over 40 years and the reality is that I will NEVER take my kids here again. There are better ice cream shops for less and they have the convenience of paying with debt and credit. I'm amazed this place has any repeat customers, it's probably that most parents agree to get their children ice cream, then don't want to disappoint there children.Cheer,

Walked in the other day. Was greeted by the persons behind the counter. So far, it was great. My spouse and I had already picked out our ice cream flavours of choice before hand. So when we said what we wanted and the size (something we were well aware of as this was not our first visit) the individual FAT SHAMED my husband!We were shocked to say the least. If she wants people to eat healthy-maybe don’t work at an ice cream shop!Needless to say we’ve taken our business to the ice cream shop west, down town on Ross Street for when we need a sweet treat.

Always seems to be a busy place. Icecream is good. Make sure you read the flavors by the door so you know what to order as soon as it is your turn or the staff will make sure you know they aren't impressed with making them wait for your kid to decide. Some kids want to look before deciding... ya, this apparently isn't the place for that ? Reserve uma mesa agora

It's wonderful there. So many flavors! A bit pricey, but nothing wrong with supporting a local business. The employees there are okay. Not great but okay. One girl seemed a bit rude and kind of kept glaring at me, I means it's not like that'll keep me from coming back there for a treat, but certainly was odd.

Staff here has always been rude, they seem annoyed to be doing their job. Kept coming back because the ice cream is great. Now with the price almost doubling over the last few years combined with smaller portion sizes and rude treatment I guess Dairy Queen or Ross street ice cream it is!!!

Good but overpriced. Always tasty, I try to go once or twice a season. No sugar free options so I can't go more. Diabetics unite and insist they add some! I even eat Atkins style so I am good with cream, but the sugar is problematic.

Definitely the best place in red deer to get ice cream. Tons of flavours to pick from. The price is not bad. But it is cash only. Friendly staff. Family business. There is a reason this place is always busy. Would recommend Reserve uma mesa agora

Great ice cream, built to liking. Great location for me, makes a nice stop for an evening bike ride. We take our kids here for a treat/reward.

We were group of 7 people and had ordered different flavors. All the flavors taste the same. Sadly, wouldn't go there again!
