Went for food in the afternoon and was approached by a young male member of staff who I asked if I could get some Tapas, he said 'No ' so I asked if I could get a drink instead he said 'No, kitchen is closed '. There were other tables with full plates of food on, just delivered to their tables I expect, so why I couldn 't at least get a drink? I asked if they would be open later that evening for food he said 'Yes '. Thanks sorry to bother you mate! I returned later that evening looking forward to some nice food and decided to get a drink at the bar first. I was approached by the same 'HAPPY ' individual, who stood in front of me and stared at me with distain until I asked for a drink. No cus...

Stayed for few days (mid-week in Novemeber . Maria made me feel really welcome and went out of her way to ensure everyting was good. The breakfast was good, though maybe could have been a little better, same for the rooms, but I'm accepting that any money they spend has to be recovered from room rates, which were very good. The location is perfect in the village with a perfect view from balcony no noise at night-time. Even though there were'nt many guests (it's winter! the hotel still had a buzz at breakfast and non-guests visited for food drinks throughout the day at lunch. Will definately use again if i/when I need to visit Competa again as it's so convenient.

I am rating the pool rather than the hotel, which we did not stay at. In Summer '23, a day using the pool costs 9 euros with a sunbed costing a further 6 euros. So 15 euros for the day is what you 're looking at but you can come and go during the day and your ticket will still be valid. It 's a decent pool with toilets nearby- but not sure about changing rooms. There 's also wifi :

We just stopped here for a snack and a drink on a trip to Competa. Fantastic views and friendly staff.
