As someone who is not only celiac but also has serious food allergies, I'm generally really particular about where I go for food. When we called ahead to ask about gluten free options what we were told gave us the impression that this was a new Mexican grill restaurant, a sit down and order from the menu type of place. New place recently opened in the Sopa Square shopping area of Kelowna South. Very new and testing their legs, the place was clean, friendly staff and easy to order. Set up very similar to a Subway, you proceed with your primary order, protein or vegy, then add the toppings you want. My burrito was placed in the sandwich press for a light warming and crisping of the tortilla.It would have been nice if the ingredients were warmer. Simple and easy, but nothing I would call authentic Mexican/Tex Mex flavours. The burritos at this restaurant are delicious and have a fresh taste. The location is great and there is a wide variety of options on the menu. Parking can be a bit tricky as it is street parking along Pandosy, which is metered. However, it is not too bad since it is in a walking and shopping area. The restaurant is located between the Royal Bank and Original Joe's, with many other businesses nearby. You can view the menu online or on food delivery apps like Skip the Dishes. The restaurant is open until 10pm every day except Sundays, when it closes at 9pm. Overall, I really enjoy the food here and you can choose to dine in, take out, or use a food delivery app for convenience.
We were excited to have a Mexican lunch. We should have know. Better as entering we realized that is was just a Mexican "Subway". Soft tacos I ordered just disintegrated as I tried to eat them, eat had no taste at all, I left half of it on the tray. I had ordered a dessert combo and the girl said it would take 5 minutes, I had to go and ask for it a half hour later. Husbands meal with pulled pork in a burrito wasn't any better. This is a new restaurant so they are still working out the system but the food was really good and the prices were great for what you got. They have a $5 burrito deal, so if you go look into it!The restaurant is well decorated and clean. Manager came by to check to see we were happy with our food and ask if we had any suggestions for him. This place will be very busy cone summer for sure
Prepared in front of you and like another reviewer noted it is like a Mexican subway. Prepared in front of you with various options but not a large menu, it is decently healthy if you opt for the right choices. Worth checking out with a price points around 10 dollars. Location is clean and staff is friendly. 3 stars for a first visit. Worth trying out.
