New Deal Cafe - Reservar mesa

For years, whenever I was in town, my Ex and I used to meet every Mon or Tues morning for breakfast at the Silver Diner in Greenbelt (my Ex lives pretty close by). That tradition has been pretty much decimated by Covid, but yesterday we partialy revived it, only this time checking out the New Deal Cafe in the center of Greenbelt. For anyone who doesn't know Greenbelt, it's a planned community that was developed by Eleanor Roosevelt during the Depression. The Cafe takes its name from FDR's New Deal programs. This place is incredible! My boyfriend and I stopped in here to eat while halfway through a 16-hour road trip up the east coast. We were warmly greeted by a super friendly lady (Named Infinity! She’s the best!! that was working the register at the front of the cafe. She asked us about our road trip made us feel very welcome, and she also gave us great suggestions to order from the menu. The food came out very quickly which was great for us being on a time crunch with such a long road trip. The food was also over-the-top delicious very creative, as they have a hybrid vegan/omnivore menu. We got vegan lasagna, vegan Mac n cheese, fried elote nuggets, vegan chicken tenders, roasted vegs. Live music! The food isn't that awesome, and it can be a little slow at the front counter sometimes. However it is a local staple. Healthy smoothies, some vegan options, beer and wine. Moreover you have the constant stream of art exhibits and live music. You don't go to New Deal for fine dining. You go because at least it's dining, but dining in a fine festive, artistic venue. 16 years and counting and this is still a top destination for the family.

Fun time with friends at the Blues Festival. We ate dinner in the Cafe. The chili was very good and came with some delicious corn bread. The sweet potato fries were superb and had a nice dipping sauce served with it. The place is clean, staff and patrons were friendly. There are games all around that anyone can play at their table. This charming and eclectic community coffee house embodies the classic café atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to enjoy slam poetry, live music, expertly crafted espresso, and a warm, wholesome vibe. The crowd here is diverse and friendly, making it an inviting place to relax and connect with others.

In the last week did both dine-in and carry-out, and both were equally excellent. The vegan fried chicken sandwich is delicious, and I choose it over the real chicken. Sides, desserts, and smoothies are all wonderful. Seating outside, in a quieter front room, and in a back music venue and bar.

A really hip place for coffee and breakfast. The cafe is part of a Co-op, and it is a neighborhood vibe where everybody knows everybody. I had 2 cups of coffee and an Everything Bagel. But most of all, the conversation was excellent. I will be going back there while in DC!

New Deal Cafe-,My music colleague opened the other night, his name is “Big Mike”, Michael Cunningham who plays guitar and sings and writes songs!!!The video song he write called “ The New Deal Cafe” sounded real good! Kudos Mike Mike Art who is also artist!!! Reserve uma mesa agora

Nice place for decent and somewhat cheap food. Coffee selections seem to be a bit steep in price though. Good for a quick bite.
