O Dinis - Reservar uma mesa

For all the good reviews. You either don't know good food, or you had a very lucky day. Stopped here on our way back home from Newport. 2 other Portuguese restaurant were closed so this one was the only one I found on our way so we decided to give it a try. Never again Service is absolutely horrible we are from CT and usually when you walk in to a Restaurant the host or someone will sit you down. We stood there with our kids waiter's passing by and noone came to sit us down. Over 10 minutes go by with empty tables and I ask if we can sit and with a stare of like we should have already done that and are supposed to know they tell us go. The attention was bad, you can't hear yourself, we were waiting for more than one hour until my husband ask to somebody come to the table and he asked something to drink, we were waiting other hour more, the food was coming after that never, EVER nobody was coming to ask if we need something else. I don’t recommend this place to nobody. Also, no parking lot. They need more people to work definitely.

This was my first time dining at O Dinis. My friend heard about it at work and asked me to go. Every detail was just right. I felt like I was eating in my Gramma Estrellas kitchen! I miss her cooking, so it's nice to know there's a place with authentic Portuguese food just like Gramma made. We will surely be back.

Moving to East Providence we decided to try a new Portuguese restaurant. O Dinis was great, the food and the service!
