Five of us went for a birthday supper. Their birthday menu is sufficient and it is a great customer service that the Birthday person eats for free. We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly and competent. I observed the other servers and they also seemed to be very good. The sad part of the night was the food. I will only speak for my meal, the others can tell you their story. I had the seafood linguini. Have you ever had kraft dinner sit too long in a pot? You know that "start to harden film" it gets over it? That's how it was brought to me. You could tell that the seafood ( the little that there was) had been frozen for some time, not to mention, a scallop ( God I hope it...
My hubby and I decided to try Pizza Delight for dinner on Thursday night. There was a party in the private room going on so the waitress decided to seat us in the front by the playroom. The people having the party also had children...obnoxious children with no evidence of manners!! Aside from that, our waitress took our order and we were served in a timely manner but that was it!, she returned to ask us about dessert which we declined then brought the bill and told us to go to the front and pay. It seemed that all staff were catering to this group in the private room making such a noise. We actually stood by the front cach WAITING to pay for fifteen minutes! We typically do not get stellar service at this particular Pizza Delight, but we love the food and it is close to home. Tonight, however, the service was simply horrible and everyone was complaining about it, took over an hour to get our food and both our table and the table behind us got their food beyond one hour of ordering. One piece of advice to the waiter - charisma is no substitute for good service or being organised. We felt like they were not taking their jobs seriously and mixed up the orders with the tables. We sincerely hope, for us and everybody else, that service will eventually and finally improve at this restaurant. The owner cannot possibly be proud of this.
After multiple horrific experiences at another Pizza Delight location, we decided to give this chain one more chance by visiting Fredericton's north side location. This time, we received exactly the kind of experience you would expect from a mid-range, family pizzeria restaurant. Service was courteous and efficient (although the waiter forgot to bring us a salad and charged us for it, but we were full and were happy not to receive it, and he quickly corrected the bill). Gave this place a few chances, and now i will quit going there.Each time we go, it's either the pizza isn't cooked enough or the cheese sticks are cold, or watch others being served and eating before our order was even taken, or going to the lunch buffett at the start of lunch and nothing is out. The location is great for me, but I've had enough.
We were within a group of 10, 8 adults and two children aged 5 and 3. Order was quickly taken but the adults had all their meals before the children were served and by this time the children were restless and not really wanting to eat or sit at table. I/we would recommend that the children be served first so as to keep them occupied.
