Pizza Express tends to be the same wherever you go, but this one stands out thanks to it's people-watching facilities. As is usually the case with every member of this chain, the front of the restaurant is entirely glass. And this, combined with the fact that it's dual aspect and therefore looks out over both Victoria Street as well as George IV Bridge, makes the ideal spot for some lunchtime spyng whilst eating. I have a love-hate relationship with Pizza Express. If you're paying full price, I think it's a complete rip-off. £10 for a pizza, uncomfy wooden chairs and completely devoid of any of the character you usually associate with Italian eateries... no thanks. My family and I had lunch at Pizza Express on August 5, 2013 following a tour at Edinburgh Castle. I 'd have to say I really liked the pizza and I would go there again if I am ever in Edinburgh again. Food: 4/5 Stars I ordered the Pomodoro pizza and it was delicious. It was like a Naples style and I 'd order it again. My hubby and son ordered a pepperoni pizza. The three of us ate every last piece of those three pizzas. Service: 4/5 Stars Our waiter was very good and the pizzas were served quickly. I did ask for a To Go menu when I left and they did not have any. That would have been nice to have to give to a friend. Ambiance: 4/5 Stars I liked it. It was modern, nicely decorated and clean....

I am completely blown away. A friend and I came by late night when they were closing and only doing take away. I said that would be absolutely fine. A sweet girl was sweeping the floors and stopped to take my order and pour two glasses of prosecco. It was out so quickly, I hadn't even finished half of my glass. The manager ended up bringing over plates and letting us stay even though we were rudely holding them up. I kept apologizing and he wouldn't hear it, I smile never leaving his face. The pizza was delicious; the fresh artichokes and spinach were phenomenal. I would recommend this place to anyone. The pizza was good, but in my mind, customer service is always the best reason to dine any...

I stopped in here for a quick bite before I turn in for the evening. Since I've started my Keto diet, I've been missing certain foods and pizza is one of them. It was a slow night so i was greeted by a hostess and sat at a table. Not long after did my server come and take my order, he was very friendly. My food came out pretty fast and I had ordered the American with added sausage and red onions. Everything looked good, but I only ate the toppings lol So a different server came to give me my check and I apologized for not eating the crust. No judgment. At least I had I got to have my pizza even if I didn't eat the crust! This place is great for those on a quick schedule, the service is frien...

We went there after arriving in Edinburgh with no clue where to eat. We immediately got a seat and where ready to order. The little one got a kids menu, which by the way was probably the one with the most coloring stuff I've ever seen, and a little cooking hat. Our food was pretty good and it also came pretty fast, which shouldn't be a surprise if the band is pizza express ; so why not five stars? We have to say it wasn't the cleanest place and our table was directly at the entrance which also wasn't great. But all in all I would recommend the restaurant to everyone, who likes Italian food!
