Pizza truck! Pizza truck! Like an ice-cream truck only better! We found Polpo Pizza truck at the Sarasota farmers market on Saturday morning. we decided to grab a pizza for a pre beach breakfast and so glad we did! We couldn't decide between the breakfast or portobello mushroom steak pizza both sounded amazing! We asked to be surprised which the staff enthusiastically embraced and ended up with the portobello steak pizza. It was DELICIOUS! Lots of mushrooms a creamy sauce topped with balsamic drizzle and arugula on top for some bitterness. The crust was tasty and cooked in a wood fire oven adding to the overall experience. Pizza for Breakfast. Yum. Polio Pizza the food truck that can be found at the Sarasota Farmers market is a welcomed surprise on a Saturday morning. I ordered the bee sting pizza that was fabulous. Perfect mix of sweet with the spicy honey and salty with the sausage on top. Can't wAit till next Saturday for my morning pizza fix
Uhm. Wow. One of the best bites I've had since moving to Florida. The sourdough crust is delicious and perfectly crisp in the open fire oven. We got the breakfast carbonara and it was perfect. Not sure if I've had a more delicious pizza. If you see this place anywhere it is a MUST stop and try. Trust me. You won't regret it.
They just rock! Where can you find creatively done fresh pizza with an excellent crust and a changing menu every week that is just five stars every time you eat it? They make their own mozzarella! Whoever heard of that? You can taste it too! Can't say enough good things about them and I'm pretty much addicted.
