Too many lies Too bad. Looked promising online. Passed by the day before just to make sure we could reserve a spot and be seated in the garden. Was no problem at that moment, was noted. The same person recognized us when we came back...the next day, but... no more room in the garden. They must have misunderstood' the day before was the explanation. The garden however still had several -majority of tables free, which did not get seated at during the entirity of our stay (about closing time). As the restrooms were in the back hard to miss. Then we kindly insisted one time to the waiter if it wouldn't be possible to sit outdoors in the back. The waiter kept claiming only 1 table of 2 was avalia...

We were staying overnight near Bazas and our hotel recommended Caro and Co. We were delighted with our meal and with the whole atmosphere. We both ate the menu at €32 and chose the same dishes. The beef from the region was succulent and cooked...rarely to perfection. It came with a delicious sauce and very surprisingly interesting carrots as well as delicious pommes purée. As starter we had the pate de foie gras which was melt in the mouth and all you could wish and was served with super crunchy whole grain toast. As an Englishman, I can't believe how lucky the French can be: not only do they have their own cuisine, but now they've stolen fish and chips and turned them into an art form! Perfectly cooked cod in beautiful batter served in a paper wrapper...(properly hygienic, not like the good old days of newspaper with excellent chips and a lovely salad in the heart of France sacré bleu! I was lucky enough to be able to compliment the chef in person and hope to be able to do the same again soon well worth the trip.

Well the menu is mostly meat, but the 2 meals we picked I had sea bass with spelt risotto which was cooked perfectly and my other half had baked Camembert with honey, pear and walnuts on, served with salad, salsa and chips. there were slivers...of raw veg for flavour on both dishes. The food was all made to order and tasted so good, I would definitely go there again. Even though we are pescatarians the meat dishes going out looked scrumptious too. Lovely dining room and staff all friendly and welcoming.

We were cycling through Bazas in a bike tour and stopped at this restaurant for lunch (burrata salads and falafe bowls). The food was very good and the owners very very kind and accommodated us in numerous ways including allowing us to recharge e-bike batteries...in the restaurant and replenishing our water bottles.
