Restaurant du Parc

We spent 2 weeks near Lorgues this summer and ate lunch at the restaurant several times. We were a large group and we were all very happy with the quality of food and service. The menu isn't massive but between us we tried most of it and it was all excellent. They have their own pizza oven in the garden, so the pizzas were really good, the salads and meat were also great and there were quie a few choices on the kids menu. A huge bonus was the private parking and kids playground. The staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable.

I have had my share of pizza and this is not the best. However the dough was excellent and the crust also very nice. Too much tomato on our pizzas and a toppings that came out of a can or a glass. But it was served with a chilled rose and outside and everything turned out fine. Friendly service who almost spoke English. Would I order other food from the meny? No, but I would come back for pizza any day.

Have been coming here for lunch on Tuesdays (market day in Lorgues) and, although it was never 'haute cuisine ', the setting reasonable fare made it worthwhile. But now their standards have slipped off the scale poorly presented unimaginative boil in the bag fare. Time for them to employ a proper chef. Sadly, another example of France 's declining gastronomy. Avoid!

Nice setting behind the hotel so quieter than out the front. Food quite good and a pretty decent bottle of wine. Nothing to really find fault with, just not as good as some other places in Lorgues in the same price range.

We went there today and all of us took the set menu which was well prepared and presented. Sitting in their garden on a warm and sunny autumn day was a treat and the whole experience was very satisfactory.
