"Cosy café, I had the best mousse au chocolat ever. Interior looks authentic, antique looking beer tap on the bar. Very friendly service. Would recommend the goat cheese salad and the duck. They offer nice cheese platters and also traditional cheese or meat fondue (for two). Only minus I can think of is that the portions were way too big for us."

Dropping in for €5 Happy Hour, not only did I discover the delish Mojito cocktail but deciding to stay for dinner with the set menu led to the true discovery of the evening amazing French fare! I normally shy away from set menus but when I checked this one and saw the choices I couldn't stop myself. Beautifully presented and high quality at a great price. The staff were good and the bistro just typical French. Loved it. You will too.

Although not visually appealing from the outside, this restaurant delivered a very good meal with their escalope de veau normande with green beans and thinly sliced round french fries. Worth a try if you are tired of tough onglet de boeuf, so common in Paris restaurants, and seafood you are suspicious of. Cocktails for 5 euros the Cuba libre (rum and coke) was heavy on the lime juice, but what the heck, I had two anyway.

4 of us had dinner here tonight, as we were staying nearby. The menu was very traditional, stews and paté etc. I had a delicious beef bourginion, mopped up with bread. My husband had a steak, which he found greasy but had lovely chips. My in laws both very much enjoyed the cassoulet. Reasonably priced and a good drink selection. Staff are quite friendly and speak decent English if needed!

La Marmite is a small bar restaurant serving good and mostly French food, a limited choice of beer and a good choice of wines spirits. Nice friendly atmosphere, great friendly service (still not a standard in Paris), reasonable prices and modern decor. Though the choice is not huge, the quality is good and most food seems to be made on site. Good choice for an informal dinner or a drink.
