Shangri-la - Reservar uma mesa

We were staying in Edinburgh for a long weekend and foolishly hadn’t booked anywhere to eat on a Saturday night….after too many drinks on a Friday night we were hankering for Chinese food, and came across Shangri-La….. Incredible….quite possibly some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in the UK. The service was also wonderful and friendly, with regulars constantly coming through the door. Don’t be put off by the decor, the food is simply excellent and the food is brilliant…and great value too

This is without doubt, my favourite restaurant ever! The combination of gorgeous food and a cosy, home-from-home atmosphere are reason enough, but Tina (the proprietor takes this little place to a whole new level. We have been popping in for dinner regularly for the last 3 months, since we first discovered Shangri-La, and we go as much for her warm and friendly company as we do for the wonderful meals. I couldn't recommend it more highly! :

Absolutely outstanding service and delicious food, we arrived late on the night of the queen’s funeral and there was no sit down service but take away was available. The lady was so helpful and absolutely amazing in offering to drive our order and us to our accommodation so it didn’t go cold. Food was lovely; big portions and very tasty. She even threw in a portion of prawn crackers and prawn toast.

excellent food, very generous servings. owner is energetic and talkative meaning you’re staying for more than just some food. excellent experience and would recommend to anyone nearby :

Took 1hr 45min for delivery and forgot the soft drink. Starter was good,but the chicken curry was stodgy and poor. Will not be using again.
