Sonder Bar - Reservar uma mesa

After wandering around Heidelberg one day, we stopped here early one evening after taking notice of the list of whiskeys that they had posted outside their window. We ended up staying here for the rest of the night. This place is a slightly dark little “dive bar” that was cranking metal and punk tunes all night. On top of their draft beers, they also have a fairly impressive selection of whiskeys and scotches as well, and we enjoyed several drinks here to a soundtrack of Social Distortion, AC/DC, New York Dolls and similar bands. My traveling companions and I are big fans of dive bars, and this is such a classic one. We came here twice during our 3-day visit and enjoyed the cheap drinks, extremely laid-back vibe and very entertaining music choices (Meat Loaf 's Bat Out of Hell , anyone? . Knowing a bit of German helps but is not really necessary since the bartenders were nice enough to work out our painfully bad German. Only warning, and this applies to pretty much all true bars in Heidelberg, is that it can get extremely smoky in a way that you don 't see in a lot of US cities anymore. Just plan to air out your clothes overnight!

Myself and a group of ex-punks and rockers visited this Bar and were not disappointed . Good music ,weird looking people and strange characters made us all feel very at home . We all remember having some humorous banter with one of the guys behind the bar and after insulting us all ,we thought he was going to throw us out but he was just joking and being friendly and he gave us all a free jagermeister or two . Might not be the place for everybody but we thoroughly enjoyed it and went back several times for the craic .

Brought here by a colleague who lives in Heidelberg I found it both entertaining and bizarre in equal measure. Great list of drinks, some weird shots and my first (and possibly only) taste of absinthe in a Kamizaze cocktail all of us enjoyed the visit and I might even be brave enough to visit it again when next back in the city!

Great place if you enjoy rock music in general and are tired of the snobs of other bars and looking for some fun with real people.
