Lives up to the good reviews. I had the barbecued rib and pork fried rice dinner portion. My daughter had the sweet and sour pork. It seems like a family establishment from the son to the grandmother involved. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. The pork fried rice was perfect, with a hint of smokiness and flavorful. I have had Chinese in Chinatown and this was better. The rib did not taste stale like it had been sitting but instead was moist and the right amount of burnt sugar on it. My daughter's S&S was nicely fried puffy and crisp. However the sauce was poured on top. We like it separate so that we could eat at our pace without it getting soggy. Great food, amazing delivery service about sums it up. I don't know what was up with the previous reviewer's food, but I've ordered South China countless times and it's always been amazing (for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant). I've had most of the chicken, beef, and seafood dishes and all have been better than anything offered by similar restaurants (heck, they can even cool scallops amazingly well, which really pleased me for delivered seafood). Best of all, this place delivers insanely quick (I've had my food at the door in less than 20 minutes a number of times), so the food never arrives as a soggy mess.
Definitely the best Chinese I had in Broward County. Friendly customer on the phone, fast delivery and everything was delicious. I focus on their ability to roll an egg beautiful and pink on the inside (not gray and matt) and this egg roll not disappointed. The four seasons Warbar was also Top Notch. I definitely recommend this place!
Food excellent as before service was excellent before covid. The waitress didn't offer high chair for our 21 month old toddler had to ask. Our appetizers was short the BBQ rib on my daughter's plate. Hopefully this was just the one waitress because we've thought this is the best Chinese restaurant in Broward.
