Again I must admit I have been to this tower and Cafe some 40+ years ago with my late parents and it was again a real treat to re-visit together with my sister and family. The tower itself is a must to visit for every...person who comes to Marburg because the views are the absolute best one can get from Marburg and the surrounding countryside in a breathtaking 360 panorama view. The acre is cute but the menu is very limited. The coffee is good and the ice cream we ordered was a vanilla scoop with three cherries at almost 4 € which was pricy but tasty yet small. fantastic 360° view from this tower. visitors should be aware that the access to the tower through the caffe has limited opening times. check them in advance to avoid being disappointed. for the romantically inclined when in marburg and after sunset, there is a phone...number to ring and the heart on the tower is illuminated. of course, their telephone bill is calculated.

beautiful and atmospheric caffe, ideal for a light lunch (pumpkin ingwersuppe was super) and then a climb to the top of the tower for a breathtaking view over the entire marburg opposite. really easy to reach:-bus from marburg, climb at the university hospital and a pleasant 15 min walk down a beautiful forest road (mirror cluster is signed.)

eat their dinner early and visit this place at sunset. the lookout was spectacular in the spring or summer evening. Waiters/waitresses are pretty friendly. enjoy their lincer torte with a freshly brewed coffee when they see marburg above. the smell of the forest. also perfect in this height.

on a clear day a fantastic view of marburg and that closed. the restaurant next to the tower was closed for a private event on our visit day. astonishing as the surrounding forrest.
