Went for Sunday lunch.ade our concern to the male waiter that the roast beef was tough and could have been used as shoe leather. Unable to cut it with the provided knife. The Yorkshire had a soggy bottom and was uncooked The only part of the dish worth eating was the red cabbage The waiter said that he would talk to the chef . But, no further acknowledgement happened. We were only charged for one meal as both plates were left half full. Unfortunately we will not return.
We called today,I'm not one to complain generally and it may just be a Christmas menu thing...I've heard good things in the past about this place but the meal today was lacking.chucking a bit of turkey on a cheese and bacon burger doesn't make it festive...especially when the bacon,burger and breadbun were cremated.I think they'd used the fire alarm as a timer
We popped in today on Christmas eve. We eat out a lot and are often dissapointed by food quality or quantity or service.Or its mediocre. We had turkey dinner and it was plentiful and like the good old fashioned cooking I love. Land lord and cook and staff were friendly and service was perfect. We will, go again and again and again...
Just had lunch at the Swan inn. It was amazing, cannot praise the quality or quantity of the food enough. We will definitely be back again. Staff were friendly and helpful which created a lovely welcoming atmosphere, could have stayed longer just to relax over a drink.
