Terre Gourmande - Reservar uma mesa

We visited Terre Gourmande for lunch on a sunny April Saturday. The restaurant was busy but we were given a table on the terrace, shaded by Wisteria. The restaurant is Bistro type with paper table covers and napkins. Our starters were a chiffonade o fham...and a salad of warm goat’s cheese and ham and both were very good in taste and quantity. Our main dishes were faux filet of beef and lamb cutlets, both being served with green salad, ratatouille and chips. The taste and cooking of the dishes were excellent, the chips being clearly prepared on the premises, crisp, well-seasoned and not greasy. We ate here yesterday and had a table inside the shop. I was a bit dubious about the idea and thought it would be very basic, but we had an excellent lunch that was very good value. We had the menu du jour for €13.50...each which comprised a side salad/starter plus delicious fish lieu noir (No idea what that equates to in English) which was served with mash and leeks, all very well seasoned. There was also an option of duck. This was served on a slate together also with a generous portion of cheese and bread. The menu price also included a glass of wine each plus coffee. my daughter and I went back from a river walk. eating is served after 2 o'clock, which is unusual and always a rare sound. we sat outside in shadow, service was friendly and fast. the confit de canard was excellent, served with salat. and chips I had a vegetarian main course that was excellent! we will definitely recommend and return!

Does not have to be booked and if not you may well be eating inside the shop. A bit off putting having your dinner while punters brose the isles. Food was standard but good. as with most restaurants in France, no food between 13:00 ..19:00

We ate here several times during our stay in the area and were never disappointed. The meat in particular was extremely good. An added bonus was the excellent farm shop.
