I was on a mission to find a gluten free strawberry cake with strawberry icing with fresh strawberries. I called and talked to a bunch of bakeries. Most said they could not make a gluten-free strawberry cake or use real strawberries in the litter. The Bake Shoppe by Ardmore said they could make fresh strawberry icing with real strawberries, but not in the cake. So I compromised and let her make the cake vanilla gluten-free and then the fresh strawberry, the fresh strawberries mixed on the cake and through the middle of the cake. It was a big hit. After a pretty waiting period to be noticed by the staff on the back, we bought some desserts for Mother's Day, including a dino and flower cookie for my granddaughter. When we got them home, we were disappointed to find the Dino cookie, and the flower cookie looked discolored, not like that in the case. While we were very careful with the cookies, we cannot say that the Dino cookie was broken when we bought it. However, the flower cookie must have been one of the worst in the group. If we buy ourselves again, we'll be sure to see what we buy before we leave the counter. Note: Some days later we returned to the bakery and ordered the same cookies, including an additional one. I've lived in Philly for almost 4 consecutive years. This place, hands down, was my to-go option whenever we wanted party or birthday cakes. I learned about it through my homestay hostess when we celebrated my roommate’s birthday. I tried the triple chocolate fudge and a couple of other unique ones; I fell in love ever since. A couple of years ago, I returned to my hometown, Saudi Arabia I missed your pastries immensely... I wish you could branch out here in SA! People will cherish your fine products. The cheese cake was excellent, very creamy, very rich and very good ingredients. This is not a weak effort! Also the decoration is very old and professional! I am impressed by the care and attention that goes into this!

The cream brûlée Shortbread tarte is sublime. Probably one of the best desserts I've ever had, and I had a lot of desserts - all over the world. Cookies are also very good. We'll be back.
