Went in on the off chance that it might serve a decent 'pub lunch '. Received a warm welcome from the staff and was served the best 'fish and chips ' meal I have had since I have lived in Scotland. I would highly recommend 'The Wee Windaes ' to anyone who wants a decent lunch at a reasonable price in good surroundings. Not a big menu selection but I 'm sure there would be something to suit all tastes. Will certainly go again.

For those of us raised on 1/4 gills back in the day. This is one of very few pubs left doing this. The landlord is very old school and the the pub is supported by a senior age group. The music is easy listening. There is a great sense of community in this place and travellers are more than welcome. A great place to take a step back in time Well worth a journey to visit.

This pub is a hidden gem located on Newmarket Street in Ayr. From the moment we walked in until we left, we had an amazing time. Jim, the host, made us feel incredibly welcome. His Scottish accent and humor had us laughing throughout our visit. It felt like we had been regulars at this charming little pub for years. This is a must-visit spot when in Ayr.

The best real pub in the town. Proper 1/4 gills, none of this half a drink racket. Staff are outstanding and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Only bad bit is both the seats in the ladies loo 's slip and pinch your legs ! Other than that, you will have to go far to find a better pub in Ayrshire. Walk past this pub and you will be missing out. Reserve uma mesa agora

Went here for a drink Sunday night, never again,, at front door me and my partner were met by a arsshole ' ' of a man who was obviously showing off because bar was in a private night, but the way I and my partner were treated was not nice

They do not accept cards and no longer serve food (although they may offer a sausage roll), but the staff are incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy. Make sure to stop by and have a chat with Jim.

We received a warm, comfortable, and friendly welcome at this restaurant. The atmosphere was beautifully clean and cozy, with genuine Scottish hospitality. We are excited to return again in the future.
