So, after the Lebanese and Vietnamese (see other reviews) last night, we walked in the street descartes, without knowing where we were going to eat (no search for the last night) and at the departure of tb, the owner went out and explained his menu. He was very kind, not arrogant and not offended when we wanted to walk for a while. his conversation and the fact that the restaurant was almost full helped us make our decision, so we came back and we were happy to have done it. It's a comfortable place downstairs (dinners later than we took on the floor) with old photos and photos on all the walls that gave it character. I've eaten a lot of corkscrew over the last decade and I've never had a bad meal. service, food and the atmosphere have always been unreproachable and the owner is one of the nicest men I've ever met. So it's very sad that when I visited a friend again in September 2014, I discovered that the cork had closed and was now a Vietnamese restaurant. I was particularly unhappy because I had told my friend so much about this restaurant and she was looking forward to eating it. If the boss of a three-way bed cap, I would like to say how sad I was to find him and thank him for the many good meals over the years. He and his restaurant will miss us a lot of the street descartes.

exceptional value and good food for low-budget travellers. 6 of us went through the street of descartes and decided to try this little restaurant. it is located a little away from the most frequented part of the street. early bird (before 20h30) 3-course dinner costs 13 euro or more. the owner treated us with cocktails of the size of a liqueur glass and the children with fruit juice. The water is free. We ate in this restaurant twice during the 10 days to betting. I highly recommend it! I can't believe I'm the first to give my opinion. the only drawback is that space is a little narrow. Metro: place monge / cardinal lemoine

The only good thing was heineken (in bottle)! for us Italian, it can not be classified as a restaurant! I understand that we are in france and food is not as good as italian, but really scarsoooo!! Better a good crêperie of the baracchetti on the nearby street of the seagull!

We were invited to enter very politely, then we found ourselves in a unhealthy and rude environment with very bad food. the famous onion soup was water, insipid and poor cheeses. I count high on what we ate. To avoid absolutely!
