We haven’t visited for nearly two years so we were very excited to be visiting again for a quick lunch. We ordered a ploughman’s platter and a pâté plate. On the menu it stated the price, just inder £20 each came with either a pot of tea or coffee, followed by scones with jam and cream. We showed ourselves to our table. After waiting for a while for someone to come and take our order we went to stand by the counter only to be told we needed to sit down and wait for someone to come and take our order. After visiting this pretty tea rooms for 35 years my husband and I decided to go for lunch today as a walk down memory lane. Dog friendly and clean. Now it’s not waitress service. We ordered. People who ordered after us were served. Our drinks didn’t come nor did our food. We had to go up to the counter to chase up our order. They didn’t know what drinks we ordered and they chased up our sandwiches. Food came , no drinks, no cutlery , no crisps, no horseradish, no stuffing on the sandwich. We complained. The drinks arrived with the condiments and the waitresses bracelet dangling in my husbands coffee. The food was bland and dry. The beef was tough and the turkey tasteless. We are true lovers...

Loved my visit here! The food was amazing and so tasty with an excellent portion size. Everything was fresh and homemade which gave it that extra bit of tastiness. Service was quick and friendly. I had a nice chat with the owner and the cook who told me a lot of interesting information about the building and its history! Definitely sounds haunted. Can’t wait to visit again in the summer when the leaves are green again.

Me and my family went for a meal here on the 13th April and the staff were lovely and polite and a young boy took my payment and was very kind. A lovely young women brought out our food and the food was amazing I so recommend this place to go for food, would definitely go again and the coffee was wonderful I will be returning Reserve uma mesa agora

had a very unpleasant experience, overpriced, bad food, bad service Not only was the food bad, but the service was also lacking. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to our complaints about the food. It was clear that they were not properly trained and did not care about their customers' satisfaction.

Popped in for some late breakfast. I ordered the Welsh rarebit. Came with a lovely side salad. I was definitely full from the decent portion size. The service was fast and friendly. Overall lovely place to visit. Definitely visiting again when in the area. Would recommend to anyone.

came to this lovley tearoom with my wife for her birthday, food was amazing but could be a little bit faster other than that was great, had a young man take my payment and my order he was very polite. would deffinitley come again. amazing for a day out would reccomend

Placed my order at the till and drinks came shortly after, we had jacket potatoes which had a fresh side salad, the cakes looked and tasted delicious. Friendly service had a lovely chat with one member of staff who gave us the history of the building. Reserve uma mesa agora

Bad service. The portion sizes are really small and inconsistent. Same cake with same money with completely different portions.

Called in for lunch food was amazing the scones where to die for staff very helpful and friendly will definitely be back soon
