We have been wanting to eat here. We went on a Thursday night and they seemed to be staffed low. No one acknowledged us when we walked in. A sign told us to seat ourselves which we did after a server cleaned off a table. Our server did a great job for having a whole wall of tables in the main area by the bar. This is hands-down the BEST bar in Knoxville. The most friendly staff always willing to accomodate, the best music sessions (Irish, Scottish, Bluegrass, Oldtime), and just about any beer, wine, or spirit you could want! We ate here for supper. Service was a little slow even though it was not crowded. We got the fish bites and chips , a small Caesar salad, and a sticky toffee pudding. The fish bites did not have a crisp coating like you would expect from beer battered fish. The chips were just okay. The Tartar sauce had good flavor though. The Caesar salad was room temperature which was odd. And the sticky toffee pudding was more like a cake, and very dry cake at that. The flavor was just okay. Very disappointed in our meal.

I love this place. Great whisky choice. The ambience is great. Good food, friendly staff. I can't wait to go back. If I lived in downtown, I'd be a normal one.
