Went there with a friend who lives in the neighbourhood. Heuriger are a very traditional type of Austrian restaurant, somewhere between a buffet and a traditional dining establishment. You can order from the fixed menu or simply walk in and order what you like out...of the counter, which makes it a lot more flexible. For specific dishes (ham hocks, for instance) the menu even details how long you will have to wait as everything is made fresh to order. It's a Heuriger in the Suburbs of Vienna district) with all the special meals relevant for a typical Viennese Heuriger. Very good wines from Austria, and for those who don't like wines, you may order an "Ottakringer Bier", which ist brewed in the same...district nearby. An absolute recommandation for a pure real Viennese Heuriger. Not as luxury as the Heurigen in Grinzing. This Heuriger is homelike

Although the buffet you expect at a Viennise Heuriger was smaller than average, the food was exceptionally good. Some orders, like "Grammel Knödel" (filled potatoe dumplings) take min to prepare, the wait is worth it. And anyways, you shouldn't go to a Heuriger to...just quickly eat, but to sit, drink wine and enjoy your company.

We ordered two Schnitzels a chicken and a pork one- both delicious. Had to pack most of it to go, because we couldn’t eat it up. There is a selection of side dishes at the bar. The beer and apple juice were also great

Our Austrian colleagues brought us to this Heuriger to enjoy the typical atmosphere, but not in a touristy place, but rather one visited by locals. It was great! Typical food, nice relaxed atmosphere
